In October 2005 husband and wife dental team, Drs Alex and Abby Michael purchased the dental practice. In order to provide the very best in modern dental care they immediately refurbished every aspect of the practice.
In creating Michael Dental Care, Alex and Abby sought to create a relaxing, comfortable and friendly environment that their patients would not be afraid to visit.
In June 2002 Alex and Abby Michael both gained a degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University Of Wales College Of Medicine.
After qualifying they immediately undertook an optional year long vocational training course to further enhance their knowledge of both general dental practice and practice management. They subsequently joined highly regarded private practices in Gloucestershire where they practiced for several years.
They have both recently been awarded the prestigious M.F.G.D.P qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons, London. With a thirst for knowledge and a passion for treating patients with the best that dentistry can offer, both Alex and Abby are planning to embark on another course at the Post Graduate Department of the University of Bristol in order to gain further experience and expertise.
In their careers they have experienced many aspects of dentistry having worked together in an Oral and Maxillofacial department, Paediatric and Orthodontic clinics at hospitals in Cardiff and Swansea as well as in the Community Dental Service in North Wales.
Between them they are members of many prestigious Colleges, Societies and Associations, such as The Royal College of Surgeons of England, The British Dental Association, Gloucestershire Independent Dentists Society, Cardiff Dental School Alumni, The General Dental Council register and are Denplan accredited dentists.
The reputation and success of Michael Dental Care has not come about by chance, but with fantastic support and encouragement from the entire practice team.
